Episode Nine: Volunteering Time To Church

From the faded vision of death, Warwick hears a voice call out to him.

"Would you like to Return To Town, Revive Where You Are, Use A Soulstone, or Wait For A Rescue?"

"Soulstone? Is that Nao? Am I thinking out loud? No, just talking in my head. Since I fell close to town square, I guess I'll revive at town," Warwick thinks, in a ghostly daze.

At the "N" in town, he wakes up in the town square, as if he was asleep.

"That was a terrifying experience! But it worked..." He says, waking up in a sweaty panic.

He takes a couple minutes of resting to catch his breath.

"Okay, and I still likely saved a minute," He states with panic on his breath.

He gets up, and while attempting to shrug off the cool of death, he rushes to the blacksmith.

On his way, he passes Nora again.

"Warwick, you look like you've seen a ghost!"

"I think I was one for a few minutes. I'm sorry I'm still in a hurry. I should be able to talk this afternoon."

"What?" Nora exclaims as Warwick runs past.

Warwick gets to the blacksmith still in a pant.

"Ferghus... I need a sickle... And a gathering knife..." Warwick hastily demands between breaths.

"Um, okay. That will be 650 gold. Why are you in such a hurry?'

"I need to hurry back to Endelyon to help her at the church,"

Warwick says, counting out the individual coins.

Ferghus gets out the equipment for him, while Warwick takes a while to count out the gold.

About ten minutes later, the transaction finally completes.

Warwick slips the knife into his pocket, and sprints to Endelyon with the sickle in his hand, but travels around the other side of the pond in the town.

"Endelyon... Does the church need any volunteer help today?"

"Yes actually, we could use 10 stalks of wheat from the farm."

"I'll be back in a jiffy!"

Warwick walks a bit calmer now that he's back on schedule.

Once he arrives at the wheat field, he carefully harvests stalks of wheat.

"Want to talk while we wait?" The GM asks, appearing seemingly out of nowhere.

"Woah! Where'd you come from?"

It takes about five minutes for him to respond.

"I'm an elf, I have the hide action. It looks like it does work on you."

"Elf, right. So you believe me now?"

About three minutes later.

"To an extent,"

"Well, I have to take these to Endelyon," Warwick informs, harvesting the tenth stalk of wheat.

About five minutes pass while Warwick stands up.

"You don't have to wait, do you?"

"I do not. Once I get back, buy a few things, and we can go talk in Ciar."

About five more minutes pass.

"Sounds like a plan."

Warwick walks to Endelyon and hands her the wheat.

"Thank you very much for your help. Take these, it's the least I can do,"

Endelyon hands Warwick 5 bottles of Holy Water.

"Thank you very much for this. Let me know if you need any more help. I'll swing by tomorrow about this time,"

"That's very sweet of you. I'm thankful for kind people like yourself devoting your time to Lymilark,"

"The pleasure is all mine,"

Warwick walks away with a smile, as he heads to the general goods store.
